Birthday Boy

Today is John Brooks’ 1st birthday! We had a jungle animal party and served hamburgers and hotdogs and party punch along with Grandma Colson’s apple salad and Aunt Amy’s cowboy beans with chips provided by Aunt Diane and Great Grandma Jean. John Brooks is in to all kinds of animals including lions and giraffes and zebras. 

For dessert we had a DELICIOUS birthday cake made by Ashley Jones! The cake was soooo cute and matched the party decor perfectly! John Brooks even had a smash cake of his very own… and boy does he know how to smash! We are talking double hand fulls of cake and icing. He LOVED it!

It was such a great day! John Brooks’ grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all came together to celebrate the culmination of the little guy’s first year of life. It is such a wonderful feeling to know that there are so many people out there who love our boy. Thank you to everyone who attended and to those who sent cards and gifts even though they were unable to make it! Our boy (and his parents too)  is truly blessed to have such wonderful family and friends in his life.
