The Swing Set

 

As you have probably come to realize John Brooks is quite the active boy. He is always running and jumping and he adores being outside. Ben and I decided that the best way to channel his energy and protect our household items would be to give John Brooks a swing set. At first Santa said he would bring the swing set when he came but after some discussion he decided that the elves were too busy and his sleigh too full to haul such a big gift all the way from the North Pole so daddy said he would put the swing together a few days before Christmas himself.

Ben is very blessed to have as his boss a handy-man extraordinaire who was gracious enough to take the lead on this project.

And what a project it was… Daddy and Pappy Larry worked 2 days drilling holes, twisting bolts, and putting all the pieces together exactly according to the actual printed instructions so that our boy would have a safe and fun place to play.

 

At the end of the day all of the hard work was worth it (I’m sure they’d say that) when John Brooks took his inaugural ride on the slide!
