Crabby John

005 (3) We have been enjoying ah-mazing weather for the past week or 10 days around here. On Saturday, Ben, JB and I took advantage of the warm, sunshiny, breezy day and rode west to the coastal town of Steinhatchee to check out the 3rd annual Fiddler Crab festival. 001fiddler crabs   I love outdoor festivals for the craft display’s, fair food options004 (2) and people watching opportunities and the Fiddler Crab festival did not disappoint.  There were alot of craft booths set up as well as a fiddler crab race booth, a stage with someone singing, some sort of chili/chowder/stew cookoff that we did not participate in and a long line of food options along the river that we most certainly participated in.

Ben and I enjoyed walking around in the bright sunshine, sipping on our sun brewed iced teas and enjoying what may be the BEST $6.99 shrimp baskets that I have ever had!

John Brooks enjoyed sleeping in his stroller undercover from the bright sunshine in order to prevent sunburn.sleeping in Steinhatchee

All in all I think the Fiddler Crab Festival was a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. So far JB is proving to be a fantastic travel companion!

  1. That looks like so much fun, Paige! I have never been, but I heard it's a good festival. At least JB had his hallelujah hands up in support on the fun family outing ;)
